About two weeks ago I left France after an amazing five months, and I came back to the UK for longer than two weeks for once! I already feel like I left France months ago but I guess that's what you get when you've had nine homes in the last five years. At the moment I'm planning to stay in the UK for the summer so that I can save some dollar and then go to Australia in September. Therefore I signed up to a million and one temping agencies to get a quick temp job for the summer and finally I have a crappy admin job to keep me from sitting in my house all day eating kitkats.
Il y a deux semaines que je suis partie de France de revenir en Angleterre ! Je me sens que je suis partie de France il y a un peu mois et je n’arrête pas oublier que j’ai habité en France pendant six mois ! Maitenant, j’habite chez mes parents pour économiser parce que je veux aller en Australie cette année. C’est l’hiver en Australie en ce moment donc, j’ai décidé de rester en Angleterre jusqu'en septembre ensuite j'irai en Australie quand il fera chaud ! Alors cet été j’ai cherché pour un boulot, et franchement cela m'a pris plus de temps que prévu mais j’ai finalement un boulot. C’est juste un petit boulot connerie pour l’été… je me suis inscrite des agences temporaires et ils m’ont trouvé un boulot pendant huit semaines, donc c’est parfait pour moi !
But having left France two weeks ago means I already miss my besties overthere! I got to spend a hell of a lot of time with them before I left so it wasn't too shabby. During my last few weeks I went into Paris loads and I managed to tick off some f the stuff I wanted to do such as go to Chanel and cry and not owning anything from there, and also go to some of the vintage shops and cry at how cheap they are. Also, we managed to find these milkshake places so now I'm suffering from that my going to the gym everyday...
Je suis partie de France il y a deux semaines et mes amis me manquent ! Ces dernières semaines, je suis allée à Paris beaucoup de fois avec Kaylee, Andrea et Rhiannon. Kaylee et moi avons octroyé faire mes coups de cœur à Paris. J’ai voulu aller chez Chanel parce que je n'y suis jamais allée mais maintenant c'est fait. Je peux le cocher ma liste. Aussi, nous sommes allées à ‘Happy Diner’ pour les milkshakes. Ces milkshakes sont très bons et maintenant il est nécessaire que je m’inscrive à la gym…
A week before I left, Kaylee returned back home also, so during my last week Andrea and I stayed at Rhiannons and acted like the typical tourists drinking in front of the Eiffel Tower and going on the merry-go-round with wine and beer.
Ensuite, Kaylee est partie de Paris juste une semaine avant moi ! Sans elle, Andrea et moi sommes restées chez Rhiannon un weekend. Nous sommes sorties près de la Tour Eiffel avec beaucoup de bière et de vin comme d’habitude… Nous avons agi comme des touristes typiques, parce que nous sommes allées au manège en face de la Tour Eiffel. Pour mon dernier weekend c’était un très bon weekend ! Mes meufs ivres me manquent !
Thennnnnn during my last week I met my au pair replacement and showed her the ropes and all that there is to see in Fontainebleau and Paris. And then on my last night we took advantage of the bottles of wine that my French family bought me and we got good and drunk as usual with some more of my frenchies.
Pendant ma dernière semaine, j’ai rencontré avec ma remplaçante, la nouvelle fille au pair pour les enfants. Alors, je lui ai montré beaucoup d’endroits à Paris et à Fontainebleau. Pendant ma dernière soirée nous sommes sorties à Fontainebleau avec mes autres amies pour boire le vin que ma famille française m’a acheté ! Très gentille !
So there you have it! No more wine, no more Eiffel Tower and no more French friends but I'm pretty happy to be home finally, and its nice to hear the Northern accent after so long, even if I do get questioned by everyone on as to why I sound Australian?
Pas de vin ici, pas de la Tour Eiffel et pas d'amies françaises en Angleterre mais je suis ravie d’être chez moi. J’espère que je trouverai bientôt un peu de vin...
