Well I have arrived in the land of cheese, wine, two hour lunches, cafe avec no lait and a language I can't really understand. However, I'm now going to try and write my blog in both languages, so feel free to correct my French and teach me a thing or two.
Alors, je suis arrivée dans la paye du frômage, de vin, deux heures déjeuner, café avec pas lait et une langue que je ne comprends pas. Cependent, maintenant, je vais essayer d’écrire mon blog dans les deux langues.
A lot has happened since my last post including a trip to South and North Korea, leaving Japan, Christmas in the UK and now living in France. Home seems like an eternity ago, never mind Japan and its Korean neighbours. Not to bore you with things of the past, I will do a quick update of what has been happening, and then I'll let you get on your way.
Beaucoup de choses puisque mon blog dernier, compris mon chemin en Corée du Nord et du Sud, partir au Japon, Nöel en Angleterre, et maintenant ma vie en France.
Soooo, Korea. Korea was really good! It was very cold and in the capital (Seoul) Liz and I didn't find too much to do but I really liked it. It's a lot more western than Tokyo with a Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts on every corner, but it's a flashy city. On one day I took a day trip to North Korea, which was out of this world (in also a literal sense slightly...) I went to the DMZ and the JSA so I got to step into North Korea for a good 20 minutes and I got a shot glass! I can tick that off the list! Here are some pictures to feast your eyes on.
Alors, Corée était très bien! Il faisait très froid, et à Seoul il n’y avait pas beaucoup de choses à faire, mais j'ai vraiment aimé ! Seoul est plus ‘western’ que Tokyo, parce qu'il y avait des Starbucks et des Dunkin Donuts tout le monde. Un jour je suis allée en Corée du Nord, c’était bizarre ! Aussi, j’ai acheté une verre de shotter. Ici est mes photos.
Après je suis allée en Corée, je suis restée au Japon pendant peu de jours avec ma bestie. Ensuite j’ai rangé mes choses dans ma valise. Ensuite, je suis revenue en Angleterre.
Christmas at home was everything I wanted it to be and more! I pretty much saw everyone I wanted to see, and I spent a lot of time with my besties. The season was merry, and the sherry bottle was emptied, so therefore I had a great time. I also managed to sort out my room, my DVDs and everything I own from my attic which meant a hell of a lot of stuff was thrown away.
Mon Nöel chez moi était parfait ! Je suis rendue visiter mes amis et j’ai passé beaucoup de temps avec mon ami de meilleur. La saison était joyeusse! J’ai aussi rangé ma chamber, et j'ai trié mes DVDs.
Then, last Sunday I packed my life up again and moved to France. I'm about one hour outside of Paris near a city called Fontainebleau. I'm now an au pair, believe it or not, so I never thought I'd say this but my job is to look after children. It's been pretty easy so far. The family are amazing and really nice; they are speaking English to me at the moment with some French as I can't understand what anyone is saying. However, I have to speak to the kids in English but they're helping me with my French also. The house I live in is huge, so come and visit me some time?
Et puis, dimanche dernier j’ai mis dans ma valise et j’ai demangé en France. J’habite un heure de Paris, proche une ville s’appelle Fontainebleau. Je suis une fille au pair pour une famille française. C’est facile maintenant, mais j’ai beaucoup de temps libre, donc je suis un peu s’ennuyer. La famille est superbe et très gentile et amicole. Les parents parlent avec moi en français et un peu en anglais, et je parle avec les enfants en anglais. La maison est grande, donc tu dois me rendre visite !
